While standing on the world’s most famous isthmus, in the rainforest and a 15 square mile volcano crater, in sight of a 150 foot waterfall and observing a massive tree clinging for some purchase on the rocky soil, the scale of the tree can be appreciated by the fact that one of the roots exceeded a meter in diameter and extended for at least ten meters, I heard this blasphemy.
